    What is SIREL?

    SIREL is your:

Skills - Your top 3 core skills, and sub-modules

Industries - Your top 5 industries that you have had experience in

Rates - Your current daily rate less expenses as Contract, or basic salary less benefits for Permanent

Employers - Your current and previous employers, consultancies and end users

    Locations - Your current location

We know you are more than just your SIREL, but its a great start to save time and become focused on things relevant to you.

    Why is my SIREL important?

We ask everyone to share their SIREL details and preferences with us so that we can create a bespoke experience for you on sap1. Jobs, news, career information, groups and contacts are tailored to be relevant to your SIREL.

Without SIREL we are just like any other network, where you will have to screen and search yourself.

    Is SIREL confidential?

Some parts of your SIREL are confidential, but we may use data anonymously to build trends and statistics that you may find interesting.

Some of the information you provide during registration is incorporated into your Profile - your summary of expertise and experience to date.

    How do I use SIREL?

As SIREL is a default setting, there is little you have to do after you complete the registration process. You are able to edit your SIREL at anytime. The main area you may integrate with SIREL is on the job board.

How do I change / edit my SIREL?

You may edit the information in your SIREL profile by clicking on the "edit my profile" tab in the top navigation bar. Your "filters" will be updated and will be refelected in the information you see.

If you wish to edit or update your work history you can do this from your profile.

Using SIREL on the Job Board

Job results we show you automatically on the job board are weighted based on a % fit of the job to your SIREL. You can edit your SIREL or add free text to your search criteria on the right hand side of the page. Alternatively you can clear your SIREL profile and search from scratch. You can always restore your SIREL by hitting "load SIREL profile".

To change your job title you must edit your SIREL profile (from the top of the page), or simply search by free text.

Recommended jobs (on "my home") are slightly different to those shown on the main job board. We feel these jobs are the most relevant to you - based on your SIREL as well as details of your experience from your CV.

How do I apply for a job?

From the job, click on 'apply', or from "saved jobs" choose a single or range of jobs you wish to apply for. Choose which of your CVs you want to apply with, and add a covering note if you wish. You can apply to multiple jobs with a single process.

    How do I search

We tailor most of the information you will see on your dashboard to your SIREL preference.

If you want to change what you see permanently, go to "edit my SIREL profile" at the top of the page.

    Jobs:

There are two ways that you can search for jobs:

    Using your SIREL

There is a recommended jobs widget on your homepage which shows you jobs on the basis of your SIREL and your CV

If you navigate to your job board from here you will see jobs that match your SIREL preferences. You will also notice that your SIREL is populated in the search on the right hand side of the page.

From here you can adjust your SIREL to alter the results you see. You can also add keywords to search within your SIREL. Alternatively you can clear your SIREL and start from scratch, and build up a new SIREL.

If you want to make more permanent changes to what you see here, go to "edit my SIREL profile" at the top of the page.

    Doing a free text search

You can do a free text search on the job board using the keyword box on the right hand side - either within your SIREL definition - or if you clear these, across the entire job board.

From anywhere else on the site, youc an search jobs using the blue search bar (ensuring the jobs category is selected) which will take you to a slightly different version of the job board showing the results of your search. If you wish to from here you can load your SIREL profile in the right hand side of the page and carry on refining your search.

We match jobs by relevance, therefore all jobs are returned and displayed with the most relevant first.

Searching other categories using the blue search bar:

People: Type in the name of the person you wish to view. If they do not show up on the site then please feel free to invite them!

Groups: Search groups by keyword or skill. Will we automatically add you to the group relevant to your skills.

Services: Support Services can be searched by company name, service or location. A more advanced search feature is available on the Services page where you can select from a list to produce results.
